Struisbaai and L’Agulhas are two parts of one town at the Southern end of Africa. Struisbaai offers a long, sandy, swimming beach of some 14 km as well as a quaint traditional fishing harbour serving local fisherman through the ages. Here is where the sea breeze and the sun touch your skin and the blue waters of the bay de-stress overworked minds. Soak up the sun and the beauty. Pass through Struisbaai via Main road for some 6 km to get to L’Agulhas, the Southernmost end of Africa, where the fully functional L’Agulhas Lghthouse is a well known landmark. Climb to the top of the lighthouse or check out ancient fish traps and explore sea shores.

Both of these places offers business centres where you can purchase your daily needs, medical services, restaurants as well as recommended stargraded accommodation establishments and ecotouristic entertainments like bay cruises, fishing charters, cycling, hiking & birding.

L’Agulhas is also known for the meeting of the two mighty Southern oceans, the warm Atlantic and the cool Indian Ocean, which happens way out into the ocean on the 20 degrees eastern meridian.

Struisbaai is also home to a landingstrip just outside the residential area which may serve useful to tourists and visitors.
